Brechts Hus in Svendborg
Bertolt Brecht, the famous German playwright, and his wife, the actress Helene Weigel, lived from 1933-39 in an idyllic house in Skovsbostrand near Svendborg on the run from the German Nazi regime.
Today, the house is a residence for artists and researchers who can work on a project from here.

Señora Carrar's Rifles, Mother Courage and Her Children, and Life of Galileo. Also the poetry collection Svendborger Gedichte was written in Brecht's House.
